My name is Mauritz Koekemoer, and I am a Data Science & Business Analyst in Auckland, New Zealand. My day-to-day work centres on data science, analytics, machine learning, deep learning, and building AI systems. That sits on more than ten years across the full data lifecycle - starting in software engineering and business systems for the domain-registration and web-hosting industry, and culminating in a Master of Software Engineering completed in Auckland in 2025, with research spanning quantum computing, machine learning, and deep learning.

I am an analytical thinker who enjoys finding patterns and anomalies in large, complex datasets, and I am always exploring new analytical techniques, frameworks, and tools - most recently across quantum computing, neural networks, and deep learning. Gathered, extracted, analysed, visualised, and presented data for a BLE-driven automated passenger onboarding pilot for Auckland Transport (2025). I managed planning, data extraction, visualisation, and stakeholder presentations, and presented the findings at a professional symposium in January 2025.
